TaoTao – a Twitter clone for QQ

Taotao In an earlier post, I highlighted the introduction of Twitter clones in China.  As mentioned, Tencent QQ has their own clone.

"It is obvious that Tencent has realized the value of microblogging, esp. when QQ itself is also a communication tool, therefore, Tencent launched a stand-alone service called Taotao, no just as part of its video sharing service.

It seems Taotao copied almost everything of Twitter, you can use Taotao to update “what are you doing”(yes, Taotao also use it in its homepage) in less than 140 characters, it supports updating and receiving notification via QQ bot, mobile phone and web, you can follow the updates of your friends, and turn on/off the notification of your friends."
